How Journeys can help you
Journeys sole purpose is to help people find their route to recovery from depression, although we also work with clients with anxiety. We take a holistic approach to overcoming depression through guided self-help, building the foundations for sustainable long-term wellbeing. Journeys provides information, self-management training, peer support groups, one-to one counselling and training that promote the development of skills and strategies to help people find their own route to recovery. We offer support and understanding to people affected by depression and anxiety, their friends, families and carers.
Journeys also runs peer support groups in Wales for people experiencing depression and anxiety. These groups offer support where peers support one another with the issues they are facing. You will be able to share experience with other who have similar issues in a friendly, relaxed and confidential setting.
We also run training and psycho-educational courses. These include Depression Busting, Mental Health Awareness, Mental Health First Aid, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Stress Management and bespoke training on request.
We run counselling in Cardiff, which is free to those in financial hardship or living in hostel accommodation etc and £5 for low waged/students up to £15 for those fully waged. Counselling offers opportunity to share difficulties you may experience and you will be listened to fully.
