Thinking differently about mental health and wellbeing

Peer Support Groups

We facilitate peer support groups in Wales for people experiencing depression and anxiety. These groups offer support where peers support one another with the issues they are facing. You will be able to share experience with others who have similar issues in a friendly, relaxed and confidential setting. We have several groups across Wales and we also facilitate the development of new support groups on request.

Groups are limited to 12 people to encourage a relaxing and safe environment of mutual support.

Cardiff

The “Stepping stones to wellbeing” group is a Peer Support group for people affected by anxiety and/or depression in the Cardiff area.

The group is run by Gofal’s Peer Mentoring Service providing the additional opportunity for members to access one to one support towards training, volunteering or employment with a trained Peer Mentor.
