Staff fundraisers lead by example

Every year we are extremely grateful for the generosity of those people who fundraise on our behalf, often taking on physically and mentally demanding challenges to raise money and awareness of our work. Without this valuable generosity and support we would not be able to continue to support those people affected by mental health problems throughout Wales.

During 2013 a number of Gofal staff got involved in fundraising activities, including the Cardiff Half Marathon, Welsh Three Peaks Challenge and garden clearances.

We would like to thank these staff for their extraordinary efforts during the year.Gofal Welsh 3 Peaks

During the summer Ian Thomas of the Bridgend Out of Hours support team raised money for Gofal by offering garden clearance services.

On 6th October Janet Lane, Gofal’s Head of Finance and Steve Warner of Gofal’s Out of Hours support team raised money by completing the Cardiff Half Marathon.

On 2nd August, members of staff Gareth Lewis, Janet Lane, Steve Warner, Kath Hudd, Helen Robinson and Trystan Jones, along with Gofal Trustees Debbie Green and Nicola Rabjohns all took part in Gofal’s Welsh Three Peaks Challenge.

We’d like to specially mention Janet Lane and Steve Warner who both completed the Cardiff Half Marathon and Welsh Three Peaks Challenge, raising over £2,000 between them!!!

From everyone at Gofal we would like to thank our staff for their continued support!
